Get StartedEveryone has glue of some kind at home. Your house is covered in light switch covers and you have all that tissue paper hanging around as post-gifting clutter. Put it all together and what do you get? The coolest group activity, new dazzling light switch covers or the neatest gift going.
-Light switch covers (take them off the wall or grab at hardware store for cheap)
-Tissue paper cut into little squares or shards
-Mod Podge, white glue or a glue stick.
Start Crafting!Put down a few pieces of newspaper as a drop cloth. Slap down a nice coat of glue then begin to cover the light switch in tissue. Really -- there are no rules. You can create a pattern or you can just rub the wet glue through a pile of tissue.TIFFANY PRATT
Add SparkleAll the results are magical—especially if you sprinkle glitter on top of the final glue layer which goes on top of the tissue to seal it all in. *Make sure to tape the screws to the back of the switch for replacing on the wall and gifting.
