As Terry ruffled through gorgeous fabric samples and Matt continued to rebuild his computer, I managed to sneak in an impromptu interview with the two designer hotties.

C: How would you describe your work?

T & M:  Each pillow is a piece of art. Basically, we take high-end designer fabrics and create our own version of ‘Home Couture’!

C: I’ve noticed that each pillow has a name, how do you come up with them?

T & M: Each pillow has a story, and it could take up to 30 minutes of brainstorming. Ultimately, we like to laugh and since our product is unique, the name has to be just as spectacular. For example, the Trans Am Pillow is called “Guido Cappuccino”.

C: What's your passion?

M: I love creating one-of-a-kind pieces. People ask, where did you get that? And my response is, ‘It’s not homemade, it’s handmade!’ (Terry also mentions that Matt loves MMA and UFC)

T: As for me, I LOVE watching TV and movies.

C: What's the next big trend in design?

T & M: Reclaimed materials, industrial mixed with modern and lots of high contrast.

C: What was the most valuable thing that you have learned from working in television?

T: From working on such shows as Divine Design, Rooms that Rock and Take this House and Sell it, I’ve learned how to make things really, really fast!

M: I’ve learned how to work with what you’re given.

C: What is your biggest pet peeve?

T: Totally not related to design, but when the weather forecast says 28 and feels like 46. Then just say it’s 46!!

C: If you had one person to be your partner on the Amazing Race, who would it be?

T & M:  Terry would bring Matt. Matt would bring his wife. She’s really good at figuring out directions. (Terry looking a little sad that Matt didn’t choose him…hahaha)

C: What is your motto?

We make awesome crap for your home!
