Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

Looking for something to do with your kids this coming chilly, fall Friday? How about popping some popcorn and cozying up with a DVD for family movie night?

It’s a perfect weekend to slow down and take in some on-screen action - like ‘The Boy Who Lived’ challenging the wizarding world’s worst enemy in the epic conclusion to an eight-part series.

Yes, I’m talking about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 which is available this Friday, November 11, on Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital Download from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.

Watch everyone’s favourite wizards: Harry (Daniel Radcliffe,) Hermione (Emma Watson,) and Ron (Rupert Grint,) make polyjuice potions, deal with Professor Snape and search for Horcruxes – all in the name of fighting the Dark Lord in a final all-out war between good and evil. Then, stay tuned for the epic conclusion where Harry is called on to sacrifice it all and take on Lord Voldemort in a dramatic face-to-face showdown.

I won’t give away any more. If you read the book - or lined up with kids dressed as Hogwarts students to catch the final film in theatres – I’ll just be rambling, and if you haven’t, I don’t want to ruin the surprise.

But if you have no idea what a Horcrux or polyjuice potion is, I’d suggest starting from the…well, start, and picking up Harry Potter: The Complete 8-Film Collection, also available on Blu-ray and DVD this Friday. With that many movies to get through, your kids might sit quietly on the couch all weekend (no money-back guarantees, sorry!).

Please send them out for some exercise after that. Maybe they can practice their newfound spell-casting skills.
