PHOTO: Whoa! See Heidi Klum as a Brunette in 1992

It turns out that Heidi Klum hasn't always been quite so blond.

The supermodel and Project Runway host must have been digging through some old photo albums, because she somehow found a picture from one of her first photo shoots back in 1992 (when she was just 18!) and posted it to Twitter. Not only does Klum, now 38, look very '90s, but she's also rocking her original hair color. And -- surprise! -- she used to be a brunette.

Heidi herself seemed surprised by this revelation. "Wow! Check out this picture from 1992. One of my very first photo shoots," she wrote in the caption for the photo. "This is my original hair color!"

Hopefully we aren't alone in thinking that a young Klum looks a lot like current pop sensation Lana Del Rey, though maybe we're just distracted by her voluminous locks and the picture's pastel color scheme. It is nice to see Klum looking a bit more natural, since she often looks so perfect when we see her in magazines and on Project Runway. (Everyone has bad days, Heidi; we know you must have them too!)

Speaking of which, Klum is currently dealing with her split from longtime husband Seal, whom she married in 2005. In an interview with Elle last month, she described herself as being "in the eye of the tornado" since the breakup.

"People don't need to know who did what," she said. "I don't want to talk positive or negatively about the ups and downs that we had. Every couple goes through things. Unfortunately, we're in the public, so the highs are out there. But I don't think it's necessary -- especially for our children -- to have the lows being printed in magazines and talked about."

That being said, Klum is clear that her focus now is her four children: Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.

"I'm a lioness," says Klum. "I have four cubs. I'm a mom. I want to take care of my kids and protect them. I don't want to talk about them, or him, or me."
