Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Will Keep Divorce Details Confidential
Rumors are already flying about the intimate details of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' surprisingly speedy divorce settlement. But don't believe everything (or anything!) you read, says Holmes' attorney.
Reports have surfaced about everything from who must accompany Suri during her visits with her father to whether she's allowed to be exposed to tenets of Scientology. But Holmes' divorce lawyer Jonathan Wolfe insists the truth will be kept strictly confidential.
"There are numerous inaccuracies in the reports regarding the purported contents of the agreement reached between the parties," says attorney Wolfe. "The agreement is confidential and its terms will not be disclosed."
Holmes, 33, and Cruise, who turned 50 last week, announced on Monday morning that they had reached a divorce agreement -- only 10 days after Holmes shocked fans (and Cruise) by filing for divorce five-and-a-half years into their marriage.
The Rock of Ages star and the Dawson's Creek alum released a joint statement on July 9: "We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter's best interests," the actors said.
"We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents."
