Robert Pattinson Surfaces Post-Scandal -- And He Looks Good!

After weeks of keeping a low profile after girlfriend Kristen Stewart's very public cheating scandal, Robert Pattinson has finally stepped out for the first time. And if R-Pattz is still feeling blue, he's doing a great job of covering it up: The handsome star is looking sexier than ever!
The betrayed actor, 26, came out of self-imposed seclusion on Monday for the New York City premiere of his new drama Cosmopolis. Although Pattinson posed for photographs, he didn't answer any questions about Stewart or the photographs that exposed her affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.
While signing autographs, the scruffy-faced star told his fans: "Thank you, guys, for being here."
In addition to showing up on the red carpet -- set up at the Museum of Modern Art -- Pattinson also fulfilled his scheduled appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Monday night.
As expected, Stewart broached the topic of the cheating scandal -- but he did so with his signature brand of comedy. Pulling out two pints of ice cream, the comedian offered his condolences, joking that they were "just two gals" gabbing. "The last time I had a bad breakup, Ben & Jerry got me got me through some of the tougher times," he said. "So I thought you and I could bond over this and talk about: 'Boy you are better off. Kick her to the curb!'"
Pattinson gamely played along, laughing at Stewart's jokes, though he seemed visibly uncomfortable. "This is the weird thing about these interviews...My biggest problem in my life is that I’m cheap, and I didn’t hire a publicist," he quipped. "So for every awkward interview -- you know, normally actors get these things scripted."
Eventualy Stewart allowed Pattinson to steer the conversation back to his film, but he left him with some kind words: "Here’s my wish for you: that you get to handle your business in private, in your personal life, and I wish you all the best."
Until this week, the Twilight star had been reportedly nursing his broken heart at his pal Reese Witherspoon's country estate in Ojai, Calif. He did manage to appear once for a guys' night out with a few friends visiting from the U.K.
But now Pattinson is facing the spotlight to promote his starring role in director David Cronenberg's stylized adaptation of Don DeLillo's tale of a young one-percenter's long night cruising around Manhattan.
A rep for Pattinson has said he's "very proud of" the film.
