Universal Music Canada

We’ve spent the week here at iVillage gazing into his dreamy blue eyes staring out at us from our site while we hosted the exclusive Night with Nick Carter Contest for a trip for two to see him at his uber-intimate event in Toronto on Wednesday August 31, 2011.

And while the contest may be over, the best is yet to come  -- and you can be a part of it.

Following his show in Toronto, join us back here (bookmark this page!) and participate in a live chat with Nick and our go-to-gal for all things entertainment, Kiss 92.5 FM host, Taylor Kaye. Taylor will dive deep into Nick’s latest release, “I’m Taking Off” and will ask the questions you’re dying to know and can ask through our interactive chat tool.

Best thing about the chat? It will all be streamed live via video so it will pretty much be like you’re right there with him. Pretty much.

While the chat should kick off around 8:30pm ET, you never know what happens in the world of rock n’ roll so be sure to follow-us on Twitter @iVillageCanada for your up to the minute details on the night. Nick’s best juicy tidbits from the chat will also be shared on Twitter that night in case you can’t make it to the site.

Dying to get your question in the cue right now? Chime in below and we’ll be sure to add it to the list.

PRESS RELEASE:
TORONTO (August 26, 2011) – iVillage.ca, the Canadian version of the largest content-driven online community for women, announced today - along with Universal Music Canada and 604 Records - an exclusive live chat event with Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter on August 31. The chat will take place following an intimate live show for Nick’s biggest fans in Toronto. Fans can get all the up-to-date details on the live-chat event by following iVillage.ca on Twitter at Twitter.com/iVillageCanada.

The live chat event, hosted on iVillage.ca, celebrates the release of Nick Carter’s solo album I’m Taking Off and will allow Carter’s most dedicated Canadian fans the opportunity to ask their burning questions to him, live in real-time with iVillage Entertainment Host and Kiss 92.5 FM personality, Taylor Kaye. The entire chat will be streamed via live video.

“We’re excited to be hosting this intimate and interactive fan event,” said Christina Litz, Senior Director and acting iVillage.ca GM, Rogers Digital Media. “The iVillage community has grown up loving Nick and his music, and this is an amazing way to bring our community and Nick together.”

“Canadian fans are not just loyal, but they are sweethearts as well.” said Carter of the live chat event. “I totally felt that they deserved something different than the rest of the world.”

Carter’s album and the first single “Love Can’t Wait” marks a new chapter in his career.

“I felt like this was my moment. I’m rising to the occasion and taking off,” Carter said.  The album, according to Carter, who co-wrote every song on the record, is diverse and includes production from some notable names: Dan Muckala (Backstreet Boys), Toby Gad (Beyonce), Brent Kutzle (OneRepublic), Noel Zancanella (Rashaan Ahmad), Carl Falk (Gavin DeGraw), Rami (Celine Dion), Matthew Gerrard (Jesse McCartney), and MIDI Mafia (50 Cent).

iVillage.ca is also celebrating the occasion with a cross-country contest, where one lucky fan and a guest will be flown to Toronto for the live concert event. One hundred tickets to the show were also given away to lucky fans.
